About Objet de Plaisir
Objet de Plaisir emerged from the creative mind of Myrddin Triguel in the early noughties (2000s), though he had no idea at the time that he would become known especially for his Italo Disco sound.
The project is named after lyrics from a song written by Myrddin's father, Yannick Journaux. While the project explored a variety of styles, the 80s vibe was always present.
In 2004 or 2005, two demos of songs inspired by Italo Disco were uploaded to an Italo Disco forum to get feedback from fans of the genre. Myrddin then became interested in other genres and created different projects which became his main focus over the following years. It was a complete surprise when he discovered 10 years later that one of the two demos, Yo te quiero, had become a huge success in Mexico City, thanks to DJ Patrick Miller. A vinyl release by M-energy Records soon followed, with a re-release in 2023 due to high demand.
Another vinyl release, Time Runs Away, followed.
Then Objet de Plaisir became quiet again. Myrddin focused mostly on his Eurobeat project Anthony McBazooka and personal life obligations. However, he still managed to compose new songs for Objet de Plaisir and is now, for the first time, ready to perform a live setlist. New releases and concert dates to be announced soon!
